From Scotland and currently based in New York City and London Paul Yates has a main background in Arts and Business having secured his BA in Photographic & Electronic Media at Greys School of art in Aberdeen. He also studied film directing at the Brighton Film School and Film Business studies at Ealing Studios London. Pauls past professional career during his time living in Glasgow was as a political communications officer for Britains oldest Trade Union where he developed his knowledge in politics and press. After having spent 8 years attending the European film Market in Berlin Paul left Glasgow to pursue work in the film industry. After having spent 7 months in Italy working for an Italian sales firm he relocated to London where at the start of the pandemic he launched MSC in collaboration with Rory Macdonald and Netto Fernandes. Over the last three years he has in collaboration with the team helped bring over 14 titles into distribution across North America, LATAM, Europe and the U.K. Pauls past creative endeavours in film place him ideally for effective creative communication with producers and directors whilst also being able to nurture their projects in a way that aligns with more tradition business and political structuring.

Originally from Brazil Netto Fernandes has a degree in the Arts, an MBA in Marketing and a postgraduate degree in Translation. Whilst in Brazil Fernandes was a successful theatre producer / production director working on numerous high profile productions. Prior to relocating he was also a successful advertising Media Manager coordinating numerous media campaigns. In 2008 Fernandes relocated to Portugal working in professional translation. Fernandes relocated to London in 2019 where in 2020 he became the co-founder of MSC working along side Paul Yates and Rory Mcdonald in handling the administrative and operational affairs of the company.

Originally from Scotland and currently based in Toronto Rory Macdonald has a strong legal and cultural background having both an honours degree in English Literature & Philosophy and an LLB from University of Glasgow & a diploma in Legal practice. In 2018 Macdonald relocated to Toronto working as Immigration Law Clerk for Ernst & Young. When the pandemic began in 2019 Rory became one of the founder of MSC along side Netto Fernandes and Paul Yates. Over the last three years building the company Rory has been pivotal in distribution negotiations and contract handling. With his decades of cultural knowledge and experience Rory has been able to help guide and consult producers on their film packages when working with MSC on their future projects. He has also helped in partnership with Paul Yates and Netto Fernandes to develop the future deal structure and over all strategic goals of the Mise En Scene company as we expand.
